Scheduling & Coverage
Build the week on the Time Grid, repeat shifts, and fill call-offs fast.
Scheduling in Enmantle is the Time Grid: the week laid out by staff and location, with repeating shifts, copy-week, open shifts for call-offs, staff availability, time-off requests and on-site on-call (OSOC) windows that switch automatically. Coverage notifications go out in-app and by email. These articles cover building the week, keeping it filled when someone calls off, and the rules the grid enforces, such as approved time off blocking a shift. Certifications are tracked but do not block scheduling.

- Repeating shifts, and copying a week forwardMost coverage repeats. Set shifts to recur daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly, choose what an edit touches, and copy a whole week forward.

- Staff availability: how staff set it, how the schedule uses itStaff keep their own availability grid; the scheduler reads it to tier the picker as Available, Partially, or Unavailable and put same-home staff first.
- Requesting time offAsk for days off right from the schedule. Pick your dates, add a reason, and submit — your manager reviews it, and approved time off keeps you off the schedule.
- Reviewing and approving time-off requestsWork the approvals queue: see who requested time off, how many shifts it touches, and approve or deny — an approval blocks scheduling automatically.
