The Apps page: Link Shortener and custom apps

The Apps page is a launcher for built-in tools like the Link Shortener and Brittco Scheduling — plus custom apps a Super Admin can add.

The Apps page is your team's launcher for handy tools — "Utility tools and applications for your team." It's a launchpad, not an app store: nothing to download or install. You open a tool and it launches. This guide covers the built-in apps, making a branded short link, and adding your own custom app.

Built-in apps

Every account comes with a few tools ready to go under Built-in Apps:

  • Link Shortener — create branded short links. Available to Managers and above.
  • Brittco Scheduling — "Access Brittco scheduling system with automatic sign-in." It logs you in for you.
  • Client Intake — available on the COD host only.

The Link Shortener turns a long, ugly URL into a tidy /l/{slug} link you can share or print. Open it at the links page and add one:

  1. Give it a Title so you recognize it later.
  2. Set the Short URL — the slug that becomes /l/your-slug.
  3. Paste the Destination URL it should point to.
  4. Add a Description if it helps your team.
  5. Set an Expiration Date if the link should stop working after a date.
  6. Save, then use copy-to-clipboard to grab it.

Each link tracks its click count, so you can see what's getting used. You can flip a link between Active and Inactive, or delete it when it's done.

Add a custom app

Only a Super Admin can add custom apps. Under Custom Apps, click Add App and fill in:

  1. A Name.
  2. The URL the app opens.
  3. A Description.
  4. A Color for its tile.
  5. Whether to Open in new tab.

Once it's added, you can toggle it Hide/Show, Edit its details, or Delete it. This is how you put your own frequently used links and tools right alongside the built-in ones, so your team has one place to launch from.

A custom app is just a shortcut to a web address — a smart way to give everyone one-click access to a portal or tool you already use. If you're not a Super Admin, ask one to add it for the whole team.
