Med Pass is where you record the medications you give during a shift. It's the electronic version of signing the MAR — one tap per dose, timed and saved. You can work it from a computer or from your phone's browser.

Open it from the Medications nav item, or go to /dashboard/medications. Recording doses is open to SUPER_ADMIN, ADMIN, DIRECTOR, MANAGER, and DSP roles.

Pick a location and day

Med Pass is scoped to one location and one day at a time. It only shows active clients at the location you choose.

Choose the Location you're working.
Set the day with Prev, Today, or Next. It opens on today.

Read the time blocks and tiles

Doses for the day are grouped into four time blocks: Morning, Noon, Evening, and Night. Each dose is a slot card you tap to record.

Small stat tiles show where things stand at a glance:

Due — ready to give now.
Overdue — past the grace window your admin set and not yet documented.
Documented — already recorded.
Upcoming — coming later, not due yet.

The coloring is driven by the grace window from eMAR settings — it flags what's late, but it never stops you from recording. A dose that's overdue is still fully recordable.

Record a scheduled dose

Tap the slot for the dose you're giving. The Record dose dialog opens.
Choose a Status * — one of six: Given, Refused, Held, Missed, Not Home, or Error.
Check Administered at *. It defaults to now. You can backdate it if you're catching up, but you can't set it in the future (beyond about 15 minutes).
Add a Note (optional) if anything's worth recording.
Save. You'll see a "Dose recorded" confirmation.

There's one record per scheduled slot. If you need to change a dose you already recorded, don't record it again — amend it (below).

If you're blocked or need an override

Your agency may require a specific certification before you can pass meds. If so:

With a qualifying cert, you record normally.
Without it, if you're not an admin, your slot cards are disabled and you'll see: A qualifying certification is required to record administrations. Tell your manager — they control certs and the gate settings.
An admin without the cert can still proceed, but must type an Override reason, which is audited.

Amend a dose you recorded

Tap a documented slot to open Amend administration. You can amend a dose if you're the person who originally recorded it (within 24 hours) or if you're an admin. Amending is how you fix a wrong status or time after the fact — it keeps the history instead of overwriting it silently.
