Creating locations and On-Site On-Call (OSOC)
Add a location with the county incident reporting needs, build its team, and turn on OSOC so overnight shifts split for DoDD billing.
A location is a home or site your agency runs. Clients and shifts are tied to a location, so setting these up correctly is one of the first things to do. This guide covers creating a location, its team, and turning on On-Site On-Call (OSOC) for overnight coverage.
Create a location
Go to Locations (Super Admin or Admin) and click New Location. Fill in the fields:
- Enter a
Location Name. - Set a
Location Code— it must be unique, and Enmantle uppercases it for you. - Add the address:
Address Line 1,Address Line 2,City,State, andZIP. - Enter the
County— this one matters. It's required for incident reporting, so don't skip it. - Add any
Notes. - Save.
Read the locations table
Back on the Locations page, each row shows the Name, Code, City/State, Status, number of Managers, and number of Clients — so you can see your whole footprint at a glance.
When a site closes or pauses, you don't delete it. Click Deactivate to take it out of active use, and Activate to bring it back. Deactivating keeps the history intact.
Build the location's team
Each location has its own team, separate from everyone's global role. On the location, team members are assigned one of these roles:
ManagerDSPRNOther
This is how you say who works at this site. It's independent of the account-wide role you set when you added the staff member — someone can be a Manager here and simply a team member elsewhere.
Turn on On-Site On-Call (OSOC)
If a site has overnight on-call coverage, OSOC splits those hours automatically so billing stays correct. Open the location's edit page and find the On-Site On-Call (OSOC) card.
- Turn on the toggle:
Enable On-Site On-Call splitting for this location. - Set the
On-Call Start TimeandOn-Call End Time. The defaults are22:00to06:00. - Save.
As the card explains: "When enabled, staff shifts crossing these boundaries will be automatically split into Regular and On-Call segments for DoDD billing compliance." So a DSP who works into the on-call window doesn't clock in and out again — Enmantle splits the segments for you.
DSPs don't do anything different for on-call. They clock in and out once; the shift switches type at the boundary on its own. Show them how it looks in On-site on-call shifts.
Next steps
- Assign staff to the site's team from Adding a staff member and choosing a role.
- Learn how OSOC shifts appear to your DSPs in On-site on-call shifts.
