Creating and assigning courses
Build a course from scratch, import one, or draft it with AI — then publish and assign it to your team by location, role, or individual.
If you're an administrator, director, or manager, you can build your own training courses and assign them to staff. This guide covers the three ways to create a course, publishing and versions, and assigning it with a due date. You'll find these tools in the Courses tab of the Learning Center.
Create a course
Open the Courses tab and choose one of three ways to start:
Create Course— build it yourself. Add modules like documents, text pages, videos (uploaded or YouTube/Vimeo), and quizzes.Import Course— upload an existing course from an Excel or JSON file.Create with AI— draft a course from a topic. (Available only if your agency has AI features turned on.)
Each course is built from modules that staff complete in order. You can require another course as a prerequisite, so people finish the basics first.
Publish and track versions
A new course starts as a Draft — only you can see it. When it's ready, publish it and the badge changes to Published. Enmantle keeps a version number like v2 each time you make changes, so you always know which edition your staff took.
Editing a published course? Your changes go out under a new version number. People who already finished the old version keep their certificate.
Assign it to your team
Open a course and choose Assign Course. The modal gives you three ways to pick people:
By Location— everyone at a home or site.By Role— everyone with a role, like all DSPs.Individual— hand-pick specific people.
Confirm with Assign to N Users.
You can also set a course to auto-assign by role, so anyone hired into that role gets it automatically — handy for standard onboarding.
Set a due date and reminders
In the assign step, set a Due Date. It defaults to 30 days out. Enmantle emails each assigned person a reminder 7, 3, and 1 days before their due date, so you're not chasing people yourself. Anything past due shows as Overdue.
Archive vs. delete
When you no longer need a course, the option depends on whether it's been assigned:
Delete Course— available only when the course has no assignments. It's removed for good.Archive Course— for a course with assignments. It's deactivated so no one new gets it, but existing assignments and completed certificates are preserved.
When in doubt, archive. You keep the record of who completed it.
To watch who's completed what and stay ahead of expirations, see Monitoring team compliance and certification expiry.
