What does the Learning Center do?
The Learning Center sorts assigned training for a direct support professional (DSP) into Assigned, In Progress, Completed, and Overdue, with reminders sent 7, 3, and 1 days before a course is due. Each course is built from modules — documents, text, video, or a quiz — completed in order, with a quiz's passing score and remaining attempts shown up front.
Finishing every module and passing every quiz flips a course to Completed automatically and issues the certificate — no manual step. Administrators build courses from scratch, import one from an Excel or JSON file, or draft one with AI where that feature is on, then assign it By Location, By Role, or to hand-picked individuals, with a due date that defaults to 30 days out. Not all training happens on a screen: in-person sessions get logged in the Training Log, attendees sign off with a drawn signature, and if the session is mapped to a certification type, Enmantle issues an approved certification for each signer automatically.
How does certification tracking work?
My Certifications merges what a person earned inside Enmantle with certifications added by hand — a CPR card, a background check, a driver's license. A new certification starts PENDING until a director or administrator approves it, and most types get a built-in default expiry Enmantle calculates from the issue date, which your agency can adjust per type.
A colored dot shows each certification's health — green for current, amber inside 30 days of expiring, red for expired — and renewing one is as simple as adding a new certification of the same type, which automatically archives the old one. For a manager or administrator, the Team Certifications dashboard rolls every staff member's dots into one status — compliant, at_risk, or non_compliant — with an Expiring Soon panel grouped into Urgent, Warning, and Upcoming. Worth stating plainly: certifications are tracked and alerted, but they never block someone from being scheduled or clocking in — compliance here is about staying current with your agency and Ohio DODD, not gatekeeping the app.

Enmantle is built for Ohio IDD and home-care agencies, where a documented, dated training and certification record is exactly what a county board or a surveyor asks to see. Because every course completion and every in-person sign-off is timestamped and tied to a person, the Team Certifications dashboard and each staff member's certificate history stand in for a filing cabinet of paper sign-in sheets.
A day with it
A new hire opens the Learning Center in their first week and finds three courses Assigned, one of them a prerequisite for the other two, which stay locked until it's done. They work through the first course's modules, pass its quiz on the first try, and watch the next two courses unlock automatically. Their certificate is issued the moment the last quiz passes, and it shows up in My Certifications next to the CPR card they added by hand and are still waiting on a director to approve.
Later that month, the agency runs an in-person annual training session. The trainer logs it in the Training Log, adds the attendees, and maps it to the Annual Training certification type. Each attendee signs off on their phone during the session; the moment they do, an approved certification appears on their record — no separate review needed, since the trainer already verified attendance. On the Team Certifications dashboard, a manager scans the Expiring Soon panel, sees a couple of background checks inside their 30-day window, and follows up before either turns red.
