# Running in-person trainings with sign-off

> Log an in-person training, collect a signature from each attendee, and let Enmantle turn it into an approved certification automatically.

Not all training happens online. When you run a session in person — a CPR class, a policy review, a staff meeting — you can log it in Enmantle and collect a signature from each person who attended. If the session maps to a certification type, Enmantle creates the certification for you. It all lives in the `Training Log` tab.

## Create a training session

1. Open the `Training Log` tab.
2. Create a new session.
3. Enter the title, date, and duration.
4. Add the attendees who were there.
5. Optionally, map it to a certification type.
6. Save.

> Only the attendees you add see a sign-off request, so make sure everyone who was in the room is on the list.

## Map it to a certification

If the training earns a credential — say `CPR & First Aid` or `Annual Training` — set the certification type when you create the session. That's what lets Enmantle issue the certification automatically once attendees sign. If the session is informational, leave it unmapped; you'll still have the signed record.

## Attendees sign off

After you create the session, each attendee gets a sign-off request.

1. The attendee opens the `Training Log` and finds `Pending Sign-ins`.
2. They tap `Sign`.
3. They draw their signature on the screen.
4. They submit.

## Certifications are created automatically

If you mapped the session to a certification type, an `APPROVED` certification is created for each attendee the moment they sign — no separate approval step. Because you ran and verified the session yourself, it counts right away.

## Where it shows up afterward

Signed-off training appears on each person's certifications with an `Attended` badge, so you can tell it apart from a course completed online, which shows `Certified`. Everything flows into the [Team Certifications](/help/team-compliance-certifications) dashboard, where it counts toward compliance like any other credential.
