# EVV readiness for a client

> Four things must be true before a client's shifts can bill through EVV. The readiness checklist on Client 360 shows what's ready and what's missing.

Before a client's shifts can bill through EVV, four things have to be true about their record. Enmantle rolls them into a single checklist on the client's page, so you can see at a glance whether the person is ready — and fix whatever's missing before a claim depends on it.

## Open the EVV readiness checklist

On the [Client 360](/help/client-360) page, open the `EVV & Compliance` tab and find the `EVV readiness checklist`. Each item shows a green check when it passes and a red X when it fails. Clear all four and the client is ready to bill through EVV.

## The four checks

- `Medicaid ID present` — the client's Medicaid ID, "required for transmission." If it's missing, the checklist reads `No Medicaid ID on file — required for EVV transmission`.
- `Primary physical address set` — a non-P.O.-Box address marked primary. If it's missing: `No primary physical address — add a Home or Work address and mark it primary`.
- `Individual payer row active` — an active payer row (payer, program, and procedure code). Without one: `No individual payer row — required for Sandata EVV submission`.
- `GPS consent (ODM-10375)` — active GPS consent on file (see below).

## GPS consent and the ODM-10375

GPS consent is governed by form ODM-10375, and the consent card notes `Annual renewal required per ODM-10375.` The status reads `Active · expires {date}`, `Expired`, or `Revoked`.

This one matters for more than the checkmark: GPS coordinates are only captured at clock-in and clock-out when active consent exists. Without it, `GPS coordinates will be omitted from visits` — and an expired or revoked consent reads `GPS omitted from visits until renewed`. For what's captured and when, see [Clocking in and out with GPS](/help/clock-in-out-gps).

## Fix what's failing

Work down the red X's on the checklist:

1. Add the `Medicaid ID` on the client record (`Edit client`).
2. Add an address in the `Addresses` card and mark it primary.
3. Add an `Individual payer row` — the card lists `Payer`, `Program`, `Procedure`, and `Effective`.
4. Capture or renew `GPS consent (ODM-10375)`.

Re-open the checklist and confirm all four now pass.

> Readiness is per client. Clear the four checks for each person before their shifts bill through EVV — a single missing payer row or an expired consent is enough to stall a claim.

## Where transmissions go

Once a client is ready, their visits transmit to Sandata — Enmantle is a DODD-approved alternate EVV vendor ([how Ohio's EVV model works](/ohio-dodd-evv)). The Sandata EVV transmission log lives in the EVV admin area. To read verification status and denials across your agency, see [Reading the EVV Status & Compliance dashboard](/help/evv-status-and-denials).
